I have enjoyed living in my neighborhood and the friendly atmosphere that it has. Around 10-15 years ago, I remember a block party and I wish we had more of those or similar events so I could meet neighbors that are not in my immediate vicinity.
My favorite part about Bent Tree West is the community, especially present during the Covid-19 outbreak. Everyone was outside and it was fun to wave at people even at a distance. There's this really fun guy who does a new chalk drawing almost every day and is normally outside playing guitar. A lot of dogs too!
I have lived in this neighborhood for about three years. I believe that it is a very safe neighborhood because we have a neighborhood watch program. Everyone is very friendly and family oriented. I highly recommend this neighborhood and the other Bent Tree neighborhoods.
Clean area with great amenities within walking distance. Also, conveniently located between the Dallas North Tollway and the Bush Turnpike.
The only safety concern of mine is that there are a lot of homeless people asking for money at every street light. There are also unkept sidewalks that need to be fixed to keep pedestrians safe.
With the growing economy in North Dallas, there are many job opportunities out there.
There is a great variety of food options of all different price ranges.
The local business are okay. We have mainly big store chains that carry a variety of items (Costco, Sams, Target, etc.), but not much variety in storefronts.
Nothing to compare to it
