I have loved living in Belmont Heights in Long Beach. It is a safe neighborhood and although it can be expensive to find rentals, if you keep a good eye out, you can find great deals! Restaurants are walking distance and there are many options to choose from. Most, if not all, local restaurants have great ratings and are very unique. I can go on runs at any time without feeling uneasy or worried about something happening. This neighborhood is very pet friendly; you will always see people walking their dogs. Some homes have water bowls and treats outside their homes for furry friends.

Safe, friendly, plenty to do. I've been here for five years and not only is there parking -- a rare commodity in Long Beach -- there are countless things to do in the area.
The city of Long Beach is diverse, and there is a good selection of music, events and sports. The schools are decent. We have a university, CSU Long Beach, and a strong police department. Our city council truly represents the diversity of the city. Each neighborhood is unique - and the neighbors are friendly. We can walk to the beach from many areas!
