This is a great area to live and raise a family. To the people that "Hate" the Weather here, they need to move! We've had an explosion of businesses at The Loop which had caused parking issues. I want to thank the City for painting the curbs yellow to curtail the parking and make it safe to drive. If you see a car parked in a Do Not Park Zone or Yellow curb call 574-7111 ext 5.
This area is, I believe, part of the safest portion of Louisville. We have nice houses and subdivisions; it's great for raising kids or just walking dogs. We try to have a good relationship with our neighbours as well, so as to not become too lonesome. However, this area is not the best for people who want to get involved community-wise, the outgoing party-goers, or people who just don't want to travel a good half-hour in order to get someplace lively. There's little local business around here, and the political atmosphere tends to be a little bit conservative. But it's a great place to buy a nice house and stay safe in.
The area where we live is about 15 miles outside of the city. The downtown area has been revitalized in the past couple of years and lots of restaurants, entertainment and lodging places. It's a great place to live!
