I've lived in Bedford Stuyvesant my whole life, and I've enjoyed every second here. The people are welcoming and friendly, the environment is extremely green, and we have many block parties around the neighborhood where everyone comes together and has a great time!

Bedford-Stuyvesant is an unpretentious, eclectic neighborhood that serves New Yorkers from all socio-economic backgrounds and cultures. The demographic is a mix of families from low-income housing to young affluent families to artists and millennials, thus instigating rapid gentrification. New restaurants, bars and cafes and new luxury condos have been readily opened for this new demographic, however local businesses still stand strong in serving the local community. A friendly, low-key neighborhood-vibe would best describe a day in Bedford-Stuyvesant. The only negative is the reliance on the G train (for the northern areas - there is also the A/C for the southern areas), which is often shut down or limited on the weekends due to track maintenance.
Beautiful Victorian homes; new condos and coops; tree lined streets; local coffee shops and restaurants; access to many modes of transportation. The Brooklyn Nets and concerts at the Barclays Center located just minutes away. Subway ride to Manhattan in 20 minutes!
