It is a very safe and a convenient place to live. The schools are great and the neighborhood is very family friendly.
Haven't had any problems with the past 12 years living here, I feel safe when I have to walk around during night
Bayside is a very peaceful neighborhood. Also very clean, quiet, and safe. Crime in this area is almost nonexistent, which I really like about. I live close to a park so I don’t have to worry about accessing the park to walk my dog. They should really make the affordability higher though.
I have lived in bayside my whole life and there aren't a lot of bad things to say. Its very safe and diverse in bayside and easy to get anywhere with public transportation.
Bayside is a very diverse area but also extremely safe. It is not often that you hear about issues in Bayside since the majority of the community works together. I've lived in Bayside since I was young but Bayside is truly the perfect spot. It's quiet, close to transportation, and has multiple stores around, perfect for everyone's needs.
Bayside is not a safe place to live, maybe it was safe before not now. I had a bad experience living there. A man was trying to get into my apartment. He was trying to remove my AC to get in. I'm still in shocked about this issue.
I like that Bayside is full of conveniences. There is the LIRR and buses around the corner. There are bars and supermarkets around the other corner. Then there are neighborhoods where it's just housing.
It is a safe place to live, and it is quite a convenient neighborhood. The public transpotation system is well developed in here, you can take the bus to everywhere in queens and other boroughs.
I have lived in bayside for 20 years now, and it is extremely safe. There are a lot of great restaurants. It's very conveniently located, the subway, the bus, the LIRR, you name it. Love Bayside!
Bayside is a very peaceful and safe neighborhood. There are many parks around the area. The people living in this area are very friendly and diverse. It is very quiet during the night so you won't have to worry about noise distractions. There are numerous bus stops in the neighborhood such as the Q30 and Q27. The public school in this area is average. PS203 , Cardozo High school, and Queens Community College are all around the area.
Bayside is a nice quiet area and very diverse. The schools are very good and they care about their students. Bayside has a diverse range of restaurants to choose from which I can appreciate.
I moved to Bayside in 2009 from the Long Island suburbs. The proximity to parks and the water is what initially drew me to the area. The best parts is the increased diversity in the neighborhood in the last decade. There truly is something for everyone, every culture and every age in this community.
Bayside is a quintessential suburb in Queens. The area is saturated with schools, from elementary to a community college. However, it hardly ever feels crowded. After living here for the past 15 years, it's been the best neighborhood I've ever lived in, albeit during the school year it's a little noisy in the afternoons. There are many families living in this area since their children attend one of the many schools in the area. There are also a police department and a fire department close by so there is always a sense of security. The only downside of living in this area is the commute to Manhattan. I've worked in Manhattan for the past 8 years and have had to travel 1.5-2 hours both ways. In order to get into the city quicker, the LIRR is an option but the pricing is much higher than using the traditional bus/subway system. The area is known for Bell Boulevard where there are many restaurants/bars and is considered the meeting place for many locals and even other Queens residents.
Bayside is usually uneventful and people tend to be nice. There are many schools and parks, but other than that there is not much to do. This is a family friendly neighborhood and is usually quiet at night. There are diverse food options in the neighborhood as well as a good number of schools that range from elementary school to college. Overall, Bayside is a pretty decent place to raise a family.
Bayside is a very calm area. This neighborhood has life during the day and is pretty active but only on the main roads. Otherwise, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Despite its suburban vibe it is filled with businesses and anything you need is almost always close by. Yet, due to its peaceful atmosphere it is a very expensive area. Most things are more expensive than usual and people that live in this neighborhood are usually upper middle class, or upper class. There is only 1 high school in the neighborhood, Bayside High School. This school is massive and is packed with students. Students do cause a lot of traffic upon dismissal, most students are Asian or Caucasian. I think this town needs more diversity, but other than that it is an enjoyable lifestyle.
Living in Bayside is a good experience and is a very diverse community of many different people with many different backgrounds. The environment is quite safe for the most part and the majority of the people in the community are families.
Bayside is a relatively quiet and middle-class neighborhood. Very safe and in close proximity to almost everything that one would need (ie. grocery stores, drugstores, restaurants, schools, highways, public transportation, bars, fast food, health/fitness facilities such as gyms, some shopping, laundromats...). Overall, a good and calm place to live- people of all backgrounds and ethnicities reside in this area and are usually friendly.
