The area within and around Bayside, NY is very diverse and safe. There are tons of entertainment, food, shopping, etc options. Specifically on Bell Boulevard, you can find a variety of cuisines, including Italian, Chinese, Mediterranean, and American, catering to different tastes and preferences.
Getting around the place is very convenient with the large network of public transportation with the LIRR, buses, and trains. Public transportation can also bring you to very beautiful places in Bayside such as the expansive Crocheron Park which offers a peaceful retreat with its lush trees, walking paths, and picnic areas. Fort Totten Park, located on a peninsula overlooking the Long Island Sound, provides stunning waterfront views, historic sites, and recreational facilities, including sports fields and a beach. With the LIRR, you are able to move from Queens to Manhattan and other parts of Long Island very easily and relatively cheaply.
Would recommend this place If living in NY.

I love the sense of community in Bayside. The neighborhoods are nice, and the neighbors are very friendly. Queens is not really known for being open or spacious, however in Bayside there is plenty of space. The area is clean and very safe, with regular police presence to monitor the area. There are a lot of great places to eat or shop, with a lot of diversity and many different cultural backgrounds. The schools provide good education as well as many extracurricular activities that give back to the community. The area is very clean and there are a lot of parks, which are great for families as well as providing fresh outdoor space. There are also a lot of hiking and bike trails in the area, allowing for a healthy environment, with plenty of surrounding nature. I love living here because there are many opportunities to get out of the house and enjoy nature, give back to the community, and hang out or go shopping. There is always something to do, which I love because I never get bored.
I have been living in Bayside for a total of 5 years and they have been wonderful. I love the diverse restaurants and stores, as well as the accessibility of public transportation, and its public parks. However, I feel that this community is not united and is very competitive over schools and are completely strangers with the people in this town.
