I have recently moved back in to city from the suburbs, where I have lived for 25+. After being her for 6 months I must say I had a preconceived notion that it was going to rough. Actually it is a nice area so far. Less then a block away, there is access to food and convenience stores. Overall I feel very safe walking late at night. There is decent amount of police presents and that is due to the are being home to many retired law enforcement officers, lawyers, doctors and other people who have kept the area up to a certain standard. I look forward to my husband and I raising our soon to be born child (May 10, 2018).

We can walk to our local library, to my grandparents' home, most places within half a mile. There is quite a bit of redevelopment happening around our neighborhood. Unsightly and abandoned properties are being repaired and sold, or rented. There even businesses and public spaces being improved. Even though I will be leaving for college soon, I'm glad to see my neighborhood becoming more attractive.
I lived in Auburn Gresham for 15 years and one of the things I loved was the heritage parade they have every year. There are many vendors selling many different fabrics and clothing. They serve the people hot dogs and chips and pop. They also have vendors selling food. They are so many interesting stuff out there you can learne
