I have resided in Ashburn for thirteen years. I attended Stevenson Elementary from kindergarten until eighth grade. I no longer attend this school, but I have siblings who would describe the education as gradually improving. As for leisure activities and food to eat, Ashburn is filled with a wide variety. I like being able to walk to from Scottsdale Branch Public Library, to Rainey Park, to the movie theaters all within in an hour. Most people I have encountered are very friendly. Recently there have been a few incidences related to safety issues regarding gangs, but overall it isn't anything too dangerous.
Ashburn is where I have been living my entire lifetime. I am very comfortable with my neighbourhood because I know everything that is in the vicinity. Of course, it is not the best place to grow up in but it is much safer than another close by neighbourhoods. I went to grammar school in this area as well and I can admit we didn't have the most money or resources but the curriculum and quality of staff were very good. Overall this area doesn't have much money, but it is a safe and wholesome place for families.
The neighborhood of Ashburn is an average neighborhood in Chicago. I was raised and still am living in Ashburn. It’s a calm neighborhood ,rarely do serious crimes happen here. It could use street fixing with the massive potholes there is around the area. And can use more community bonding activities like block parties, etc. The neighborhood of Ashburn has potential to be a lovely neighborhood in Chicago ,just a few tweaks away from that becoming possible.
