AU Park is a beautiful neighborhood in Northwest DC, home to the prestigious American University. Their campus is fantastic for jogs, picnics, and even walking your dog. However, it is an extremely expensive neighborhood but, if you can afford it, it's home to Washington's elite.
Houses are nice but somewhat overrated. There are better places to live in DC for the same price. My problem is the rats, to me that is a huge problem.
It's DC so there's always tons of tourism
Great neighborhood, houses are well kept
Fire and police station a few blocks away
Good community, people tend to settle here
Good variety of stores available
People in this area are very friendly and cheerful. In my university there is plenty of diversity and people are very open-minded, accepting, and considerate of others.
My neighborhood is filled with very successful people. There are politicians, bankers, lawyers, artists, business owners, doctors, and much more. I have not met anyone in my neighborhood that does not have a decent job.
I live in a small town in Washington, Dc called Tenley Town. It has a huge variety of restaurants and connivence stores but no clothing stores. There are a lot of fast food restaurants, including Chipotle, McDonalds, Popeye's, ect. There are a couple of restaurants that deliver food, but mostly sit down restaurants. Along with food places, we have a Best Buy, Container Store, Lowe's, Radio Shack in the area. There are no "mom-and-pop" shops in my neighborhood. There are only big named companies. Basically everything that I need, I can get it close to my house, except for clothes.
