Allston Reviews
Rating 3.88 out of 5 82 reviews
Allston is definitely less desirable than all of the neighborhoods surrounding it, and it has some downsides, but overall its a decent neighborhood. Its very affordable and has great nightlife. Great for young people looking for affordable housing. The neighborhood can be dirty at times and may occasionally look run down, but the crime rate is VERY low. Overall great for young people, great nightlife scene, and while its not as "desireable" and Brookline or cambridge, its a fine place to live.
Allston is a nice area particularly for students and young adults. Lower Allston is more residential and quiet, while the heart of Allston is much more bustling, with many restaurants, businesses, and students.
Lovely village within the Greater Boston area with a wide variety of shops, parks, and is well connected into the public transportation network of the city proper.
