Allston is a great place to live if you are looking for decently-priced apartments in Boston in a fun area. Lower Allston is residential and tends to be quieter while upper Allston is more lively with a popping bar scene. The neighborhoods are dirty but you get what you pay for - its a great place for college students or young professionals!

Allston is the perfect area of a young professional. The access to international food is unparalleled. Unfortunately, there is a lot of hub-bub that goes on during the warmer months and individuals struggling with housing instability spend a lot of times on the neighborhood blocks.
I love living here though.
Allston is a safe, student friendly environment with easy access to all kinds of restaurants and convenience store. The nightlife is also versatile, including nightclubs, bars and hang out stores.
