Cute, little Main Street with lots of small businesses and restaurants. They have a nice movie theater as well. However, there are not many reasons for me to want to come to Alhambra. 38 Degrees Alehouse is a cool beer place to hang out, and Grill 'Em All has some great burgers. Other than that, no real need to seek out this part of LA free parking in the movie theater garage, which is close to most places in the heart of Main St. The parking regulations in this city are an atrocious violation against all concepts of fairness.Alhambra obviously has a parking ticket scam going on for overnight parking. They only post tiny signs at the entrances to the city (in accordance with state law, they cry!), and then sit back and hope that unsuspecting visitors will leave their cars parked on the street overnight so they can cash in. If this routine was performed by anyone other than a governmental entity, it would be called theft. Forget Alhambra. I'll never be back.
Older neighborhoods. Local parks are now filled with homeless due to lightrail expansion. Alleys are a gathering place for users. I wouldn't let my kids go out and play unsupervised. No one is improving what is already here.
