Adams Reviews
Rating 4.14 out of 5 7 reviews
Of all the neighborhoods I’ve lived in, this is my favorite. Ballard balances night life with commutability and safety perfectly.
The area is absolutely great, especially in the Ballard/Fremont area!
If you work for Amazon or Microsoft things will be great for you. If you make a living in the customer service industry or with a specific trade that doesn't have corporate backing you might not fare so well. Finding work won't be too difficult, but paying your rent or mortgage will be another story. With Microsoft and Amazon moving so many people to Seattle, the rental/home prices are skyrocketing and becoming much more difficult to afford when not working for these companies. Apartments in my area are renting for almost double what they were four years ago. Most people I know work in the service industry as bartenders or waitstaff and don't have trouble finding work if their establishment closes down and are able to make ends meet with a LITTLE room for fun every once in a while.
