Myrtle Point is a nice little town with a friendly community. It sits in a nice valley with temperate weather. Not many jobs available due to small community, however, it does have really good schools. 17 miles from the coast and beaches and 25 miles from Coos Bay which has a variety of shopping, a movie theater, as well as many fast food places. Overall this is a great little community with some decent people.
Myrtle Point is a quaint town. It is small and humble. A safe place for families. If you like country living, this is the place for you.
I have lived in Myrtle Point my entire life. I have gone to school in Myrtle Point my entire life also. It is a very small town, so everyone knows everyone. It is a nice town, but there are not very many opportunities or activities to do. The school is not that great. It is a very quiet town, overall it is an okay place to live.
