Coming from Perris, California to Murrieta, California really opened my eyes as to how different life can be for a kid depending on what city they live in, even if they're only a few miles apart. Murrieta is a quiet, clean, and overall neighborly city. It's ranked highly as being one of the safest cities in California, and that shows since you hardly hear of any crimes out here. The schools are diverse and abundant with respectable pupils and faculty. The food scene is just as diverse and abundant, making Murrieta an easy place to try something new everytime you go out for dinner. The community is friendly and people are great!

Murrieta is a very family friendly neighborhood. Murrieta has great neighboring cities as well! Murrieta was ranked in the top 5 safest cities in America! The best thing about Murrieta is the Town Hall, which displays hundreds of flags every year for Veterans Day! Town Hall always has events going on that bring the community together such as the "Meet Your Heroes" event. The "Meet You Heroes" event brings local police officers and firemen together for the city to meet and greet. Police bring K-9 dogs and do demonstrations and drills. Firemen bring the trucks and let the kids climb aboard and pretend they are driving the truck. What I love most about the city is the effort they put into bringing the community together!
I lived in a small town called Hemet all of my life. It was nice and quaint until the economic downturn. Then all of the sudden, there were scary looking people on the streets and many homeless. With this came crime. My family had seen Murrieta visiting friends and took this opportunity to try to buy over there. Luckily, they found a home and we were so happy at the contrast! Working families, clean streets and parks, no fear to walk around, nice people you want to hang out with and close to the freeway! Add in the beautiful oak trees and hills, My family is very happy in our new city we call home!
