Coming from Perris, California to Murrieta, California really opened my eyes as to how different life can be for a kid depending on what city they live in, even if they're only a few miles apart. Murrieta is a quiet, clean, and overall neighborly city. It's ranked highly as being one of the safest cities in California, and that shows since you hardly hear of any crimes out here. The schools are diverse and abundant with respectable pupils and faculty. The food scene is just as diverse and abundant, making Murrieta an easy place to try something new everytime you go out for dinner. The community is friendly and people are great!

Murrieta is a medium-sized town of about 100,000 residents. A drive through town includes a beautiful view of the mountains and the bucolic country roads are nearby. It is a quiet, relaxed, and less crowded place. Housing is affordable by California standards and the local schools are considered quite good. Most people here have very long commutes to get to job centers in neighboring counties (30 minutes to 1.5 hours one way). The summers are miserably hot and dry (100+ degrees often). It is very hot from May-October. Everything looks brown year round. Since people spend so much time driving, it is difficult to form much of a sense of community. The mall is 20 minutes away. Most people travel to San Diego or Orange County for entertainment.
My wife and I relocated from Torrance ,Ca in 2016 .... I am 64 and my wife and I love it here! A great! Safe place to live strong military and police ! You will feel safe here hands down! Weather is fine ...however we do have some very hot summers! ...nothing like Phoniex or Las Vegas . But pretty warm . If you have children you won't find better schools or family oriented support programs like in Murrieta. People are very kind and respectful here ..oddly enough children seen very well mannered as well ? and we have the best free firework shows on July 4th ..... reminds me of how families were back in the 50's with mom and dad.
