Munster is a safe town with attractive neighborhoods and schools that cater to local families. The real estate market is blowing up right now and house prices are increasingly rapidly, but the town still remains relatively affordable for those looking to move here. There isn't much to do in town and construction is underway to make a downtown area, but plans will not be completed until 2025.
Munster is a northwest Indiana suburb of Chicago and a great place for families. It is a very stable community, with families who have been here generations and few people moving out. It is very safe and has many great parks, as well as a great school system. If there is a downside, most people who live here are on the wealthier side and have a narrow, privileged view of the world.
Munster has a very highly respected school system. With the increasing construction the residents here, including myself, have more to do than ever before. A new underpass was just added on to assist the flow of traffic out of one of the wealthier subdivisions. Every aspect of Munster pretty much reaches the high standards set for it. Munster is typically a very safe town and is very family friendly as well. The houses are very beautiful especially in the, rather large, White Oak Estates. The only down side to Munster is that commuting and transportation can take a little longer than wanted. This is okay because every other aspect of this amazing town makes up for it. The residents in Munster all have a strong bond with one another because we are a large community of hard-working people. My overall experience in Munster for the 18 years I have lived here is nothing shy of excellent.
I love the town of munster I currently work here and live here it is a great environment to raise your child. The environment is very quiet the crime is low and the schooling is very good.
Good schools, safe neighborhood, small town not much traffic. Lacks restaurants, clubs, fun things to do.
Munster is a beautiful community for growing a family. It includes numerous job opportunities along with a great school system. However, Munster is not a diverse town; therefore, conflicts can occur between people who do not have similar beliefs regarding more specifically race.
Munster is a super-family-friendly town! The school district is A rated. It has a great feeling of community and residents are helpful. There's always someone walking, running, or biking on the many trails we have. Every police officer I've encountered have been friendly. It's a safe town and residents make sure to keep it that way. It's multi-cultural.
Munster is a perfect place to call home and raise children. There are multiple schools located around the town, which include elementary, middle and high schools. We have a well known Community Hospital who is known for their outstanding stroke center. There are multiple food places. Weather you want to live in a subdivision or a normal neighborhood, there is places for all. It is also located near major highways which allows for easy travel. Everything that you could ever need is located right inside Munster, or just minutes from it. You can’t go wrong living here.
I like that Munster makes many of their locations, stores and parks easily accessible to all who live there and even those who are vacationing.
Munster is such an amazing city. There are so many beautiful parks such as Centennial Park! The golf course is amazing and the scenery is also amazing. The residents of Munster make the town an even better place to live in. There is hardly ever any criminal activity, so it makes me feel extremely safe. The school systems are amazing as well, they are so welcoming and have great academics!
Munster is a wealthy suburban town that many parents move to so that their child can receive a good education. Neighborhoods range from very expensive housing to average price.
Best place to live for family and atmosphere. High education and public school system is one of the best in the US. Because the city has lots of hospitals (Chicago people most come out to Munster for hospitals) it surrounds with many doctors and scientists families. Very good place for your kids to grow. Nice landscape and restaurants, beautiful city!
It is a good town to go to school in and has a small town feel but is still close to Chicago to go and do fun things.
It's a nice place to live. Our neighbors are friendly and everyone works hard on their homes to keep them clean and landscaping nice. It's great being so close to the interstate for traveling. Chicago is only a short 30 minute drive. We are excited to see what the school's have to offer this year with a son being a soon to be kindergarten:)
This town is beautiful. Its community programs are amazing and its schools are wonderful. Located close to Chicago for activities but unfortunately there isn't much to actually 'do'. For a college area (Purdue University- Northwest) there isn't much fun to be had most of the time you have to go out of the area.
I find the experience living in Munster to be wonderful. It is a small town that focuses on family .
The only reason I would recommend living here is for the school systems. It is not easy being a person of color in this town.
