Mt Washington, KY is like a place lost to time. Walking into town feels like another world, and not necessarily in a great way. The place, though growing, suffers from a "small town" mentality, and refuses to grow and prosper in that regard. They are, in all, standoffish to outsiders.

I have lived here my whole life. It's a small town, so it has typical small town problems. Often referred to as"Mouth Washington", just about everyone thinks they know everyone, and just about everyone likes to run their mouth. There is no night life here, this is a ghost town after 10pm. The only open businesses after that are a few gas stations and fast food places, and a Kroger til midnight. The only thing that makes this town liveable is the close proximity to Louisville.
I really love my small little town. We have left our doors unlocked, garage doors open, and cars open all night long. The people are super friendly. But there is very little to do. With lots of fast food joints and a movie theater is about all there is to do.
