Mt. Vernon is a family oriented, conservative community. Our school district is small but full of successful students and dedicated staff. We need more businesses and job opportunities, but it is a safe place to live with a very supportive community.

Mount Vernon is a nice little town. It is home to many people who care about it, and who do everything they can to help it thrive. If you are looking for a true rural Kentucky experience, then it is the place for you.
I would love to see a clean up of drugs, more activitys for the kids to do to keep them off drugs, more job opportunitys, and more resources for the homeless. Also maybe a place that serves the homeless food
