Mount Pocono Reviews
Mount Pocono is an interesting small town that I have lived in since the age of two. Recently I feel the community has become run-down a bit, and I believe part of that is because of the amount of stores closing down such as the large K-Mart plaza that became a hangout place for bums and had litter cluttered all over. Thankfully, an Ollies recently opened and is starting to clean the plaza back up, I would like Mount Pocono to continue cleaning up itself because this plaza is only one of the many spots slowly progressing down.
Mount Pocono is a magical place. It is a place where you experience all four seasons. You can watch the leaves change and the birds migrate. But what gives Mount Pocono its true magical feel is it's consistency is culture. No matter how much the world around it changes, the people stay the same. In some way or another you can sense the spirit of coal miners. You can hear the accent of the Pennsylvanian Dutch. You can watch as one generation grows, how it never forgets it's roots. Just like the trees. Ever changing, but yet always the same.
All four seasons are present in the Poconos. There is a diversity in the people who live there. When it snows, the roads are plowed for the safety of the people who live there. There are two public schools children can go to from this area. There is one private school. Mount Pocono is a very safe to raise children and for elderly people to live. There are shopping centers in the middle of town and there are multiple grocery stores to choose from.
