Most of the people in Mount Pleasant are very nice! There are plenty of places to shop and eat. You can also visit Boone Hall Plantation, which is a very lovely place. However, there are certain places in Mount Pleasant that need more parking spaces.

Mount Pleasant is a great town. People are friendly and the restaurants are awesome! I grew up in this town and I am going to miss living here when I go to college. It is clean and very close to 2 great beaches, Isle of Palms and Sullivans Island. Many days we ride our bikes to the beaches or downtown. It is centrally located between both. the cost of living is expensive, so if you want to live here, you will need to have a good income! I would recommend living here if you can afford it!
There is a lot of construction happening right now which is normal I guess for a desirable area.. I have already seen an increase in traffic over the last four to six months and I fear it will only get worse. But it is worth it, and the town is small so no commute is really bad even with traffic. It would be nice if we could get public transportation here.
Mt. Pleasant is a bedroom community to Charleston and is family oriented. The climate is good overall and the amenities are plenty! That said, the town's infrastructure cannot support the influx of people moving here - so the traffic and overcrowding is negatively impacting the quality of life.
