I would like to see the school system improve in Mount Laurel. I grew up here and would like to see it improve. I think there certainly is room for improvement. It is not terribly diverse, the job market is not soaring and never has been. It does have historical significance and can be beautiful at times. There are certain private and vocational schools that seem more worth attending. All in all, Mount Laurel Township is simply lacking in quality compared to neighboring towns. In the future, I would love to see more libraries, more conservation of wildlife, and most especially more funding to schools. Schools are an important part of determining future generations and without a stable education system, we cannot expect a positive outcome in the future. There simply is not a lot of nightlife or interesting events. It is family-friendly area and I cannot think of many serious crimes that took place. However, it is not perfect and much work needs for it to be decent.
Conveniently located but not pedestrian biker or skater friendly. Most folks who live here already know each other or have multiple generational family ties. The township is very friendly and listens to your concerns can’t say the same for the Folks who live here, they are very close minded and form tight knit cliques if you don’t fit into their niche, forget it you always be the outsider. There are better towns to live where you feel more accepted especially if you’re in the minority groups or subcultures. Look around to Medford or Marlton.
Grew up here and am moving back with my husband to be with family. Really not diverse at all, but maybe I’m partial due to having lived in Southern California and Houston. Not a lot of modern shopping centers and you literally have to drive to other cities in order to have entertainment or good food that isn’t Italian. I would pick cherry hill over MTL.
