Quiet and friendly neighborhoods with good schools. Beautiful scenery and on Lake Dora. Easy commute to Orlando Florida and theme parks like Disney. Excellent restaurants. Has several colleges nearby and Valencia State College is building a satellite within several years. Boating, fishing, parasailing, seaplanes, and many other at your fingertips!
Numerous motels and hotels to stay in all within close distance to center of town. Shopping and numerous antique shops in town. Center of town is situated on lake and chain stores and businesses are located outside on perimeter so town keeps its antique and quaintness.
Renniger's Flea and Antique market located right outside of town is world famous and the largest one ever with great bargains!

I experienced mount dora for the first time while on vacation. Its quaint, small town feel is what made me fall in love with it! It offers a lot of shopping and restaurants in the square downtown. They host a lot of festivals. From wine tastings to pirate scavenger hunts. When my family decided to move to Florida, Mount Dora was the first place we searched to buy a house. There are a lot of construction projects going on to help better the city. I am looking forward to all of the new roads and building projects they are focusing on. At the moment I would not change anything about this city!
A wonderful place to live! This town offers a lovely, quaint downtown with plenty of shopping and great restaurants. Mount Dora is like a little slice of New England. The atmosphere is quite laid back. The town is on a large lake, Lake Dora. There are many opportunities for sightseeing on the lake, walking trails or having lunch with a view at the well-known Lakeside Inn. The homes surrounding the city are lovely and quite affordable. Visit here and you'll likely come back to stay some day!
