I like the low crime, good road management, shopping & restaurants,,bountiful amount of churches & parks, easy access to two interstate systems. My dislikes are the city water and the pumpkin farmer on the east side who literary makes Morton Illinois smell like a huge hog farm for three weeks in September with Libbys rancid pumpkin waste he sprays on his fields on the east side disgusting eck eck!

I moved to Morton when I was in 2nd grade. It is a friendly, small town to live in and good is for families. It is good for kids because of how safe the town is and it has good schools. Children and teens get a good education through these schools. We also have award winning programs such as Morton’s music education program. Since it is such a small town, mostly everyone knows each other and it is easy to make new friends. Morton is also famous for its pumpkins and has the nickname “The Pumkin Capital of the World”. Every year we host The Pumpkin Festival where people come to eat pumpkin flavored food and go on carnival rides. I never knew how many foods could be made from pumpkin until I moved here. The Pumkin Festival is one of my favorite events of the year. I have had a great experience growing up in Morton and recommend it to anyone else who is looking for a place to live.
This small town is excellent for families! Great school, lots of community events, and perfect for walking or biking around!
