I moved here about a year and half ago. I'm generally happy but find it confusing who to reach out to for issues. There are no aldermen or alderwomen so a person doesn't have a representative. And aside from a once a month meeting I can't figure out how to raise any issues or concerns. But we feel pretty safe and coming from the city it's a nice in-between location that's not too far out. Definitely wish it had more to do, especially the East and Southeast parts. They're close to downtown Skokie but MG needs to do more with new and interesting dining and entertainment options.
Morton Grove is a small town surrounded by shopping areas as well as nature! Yes, you can have it all... in Morton Grove! Great school systems, health care and libraries ; the town hosts tons of delicious local restaurants as well as chain restaurants; know that you will find the best tradition Thai food, Indian, Mexican, Greek.. etc. Name it and we have it! Feel free to walk through the peace and calm of the Morton Grove forest, or the little small shops that you will find all over!
It's a pretty good place to live in, honestly prefer being in Skokie due to there being a greater quantity of amenities and areas to go to, as well as superior public transit infrastructure, but otherwise it's basically just the more suburbanized portions of Skokie.
