I love Morris Plains because of how perfectly suburban the town is. It is the perfect distance from any big cities like Morristown and even New York City, but it is far enough away to be calm and casual. The safety here is great and the firehouses are plentiful. The town is very diverse and friendly. I love living here!
So far I have been living in New Jersey for the past 13 years but specifically in Morris Plains now for 4 years. I have to say it has been a pretty great 4 years. Everyone in this town is very kind and doesn't interrupt our privacy. The best part of living here is how close you are to everything. You don't have to drive so far when it comes to shopping for groceries or even little things like clothes or knick-knacks. I have gone to the public school here, Parsippany Hills High School and it is a pretty average high school that does try its best for the student but can do better for the music department. The biggest question is that is this area safe for children and families and I have great news, it truly is great for families and children. This area and other near have events for adults and children that are always fun to participate in. In addition, this area is truly safe, you hear a little bit about crimes and stuff.
I love my town! It is a wonderful place for families and students. Taxes are high due to the quality of schools and properties. I wish there were more small local businesses rather than chains, and Morris Plains often falls flat when it comes to nightlife. However, neighboring towns such as Morristown make up for it. There are not many stores that promote healthy lifestyles, save for supermarkets. I believe the town is very diverse and welcoming to people of all races and sexual orientations, especially in schools. I adore the mix of cultures that are found in Morris Plains and Parsippany.
