Morris Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 5 reviews
I've lived in Morris my entire life. I've attended James Morris Elementary School and went to the local high school Wamogo Regional High School. What I've liked about living in Morris is the community of people who live in the town. Having support from the people who live around you is like having an extended family. What I would like to see changed is more recreational activities for the teenagers who live in town. The town does a great job with bringing together younger kids like swimming lessons at the town beach, family movies on the lawn by the elementary school, story time in library, etc. Although I did play sports in high school, I never had anything to do over the weekend or at night. It would have been nice to have a place to meet up with friends after school like a coffee shop, a place that held dances or clubs that brought together students with similar interests and did different activities.
Many people in Morris are kind and willing to help. However, they are very strong about their political views and can be nasty if things change. However, having an adorable ice cream parlor and sandwich shop nearby makes it a nice place to be, and there are several shops and stores nearby to help anyone who needs something.
Morris, CT is a quaint New England town located in Litchfield County. It is the perfect place to raise a family as the rural character of the town affords pastoral landscapes, Bantam Lake, cornfields, and stone walls. The community gathers in the town center for holiday parades and seasonal events. James Morris School houses students from K-6 with small class sizes and excellent, caring teachers. Easy access to route 8 offers commuters access to Boston and NYC within a 2 hour drive.
