Morgan Hill Reviews
I was born and raised in Morgan Hill. I went to preschool, elementary school, middle school, and high school here. Since I've graduated high school, Morgan Hill has been improving a lot. Where schools and buildings and housing are being renovated for the incoming generations. There's a lot of activities to do here, like; hiking, bowling, team sports, swimming, and much more! Friendly faces wherever you go, and great diverse food downtown. A great place to grow up.
Having been born and raised in Morgan Hill, the town has transitioned from a small farming community to an extension of Silicon Valley. While it still maintains some of its family-friendly, small community charms such as the Christmas and 4th of July parades, it has become more densely populated and commercialized. A trip across town now takes 20 minutes instead of 5. You can still find some local businesses but it is hard for them to compete with the bigger box stores that are either in town or nearby. Still more affordable than the peninsula. Public schools are average at best when compared to county and state test results. Still low on violent crime but trending up as to be expected with the population growth. The area enjoys nice county parks, is surrounded by rolling hills and is considered a hiking/biking/running paradise. You can be at the beach in one hour and in Lake Tahoe snow skiing in four hours.
Morgan Hill is a typical California suburb. Downtown features a wide variety of shopping and dinning neatly tucked into quaint, post-modern buildings. My favorite part of Morgan Hill is the surplus of recreational activities within a few minutes drive of each other; including an indoor pool and fitness center. Home to Henry W. Coe State Park, bird watching and hiking trails await anyone whose willing to brave the 30minute, winding, drive to the entrance. While the public library is small the staff is very friendly. This town is expanding everyday and bringing with it a culturally diverse community of residence. However, be prepared for congestion and long commute times should one work in San Jose.
