Morgan Hill is a typical California suburb. Downtown features a wide variety of shopping and dinning neatly tucked into quaint, post-modern buildings. My favorite part of Morgan Hill is the surplus of recreational activities within a few minutes drive of each other; including an indoor pool and fitness center. Home to Henry W. Coe State Park, bird watching and hiking trails await anyone whose willing to brave the 30minute, winding, drive to the entrance. While the public library is small the staff is very friendly. This town is expanding everyday and bringing with it a culturally diverse community of residence. However, be prepared for congestion and long commute times should one work in San Jose.

Morgan Hill is definitely a small town and fits every description of a small town. I loved growing up in such a small area being close to everyone. As I got older I have noticed the town has gotten more populated and over crowded. I hope that one day I'll get my small town home back! Definitely a great place to raise children with all the community functions, support, and holiday events!
I have had the great privilege of growing up in Morgan Hill. Situated on the edge of the Silicon Valley and Bay Area, there is incredible accessibility to great education, and opportunities to be a part of all kinds of communities (with a 25 min drive to San Jose).
As a teenager in Morgan Hill, I sought out alternative forms of education, and an art program that had options. I found these things elsewhere, and drove 30 minutes to school every day (and 1+ hr home in southbound 101 traffic).
It's a bit of a joke that there is nothing to do in Morgan Hill, and for the most part, that feels true. There are not many things to do for young adults, aside from the bowling alley and movie theater. If my family or friends want to go out, we go to San Jose. It would be great if there was better public transportation going North.
Overall, Morgan Hill is a pretty safe suburban place to live, and makes sense for those seeking the benefits of Bay Area cities, while living quietly just outside of it.
