Mora is a family-friendly, pretty safe community. Houses are affordable. The commute is a bit longer, but worth it. I wish there were more things to do and more places to shop.

Mora is a rural MN town of about 3500. The school system is exemplary. The industry is the town is growing, and there is no shortage of jobs. That being said, when commuting one might find more advantages for pay increase. GThe commute from the twin cities is about an hour and a half, and there are other larger cities nearby to commute to for jobs. The town lacks diversity and is very traditionally Scandinavian. It hosts the 8th largest ski race in the country, the Vasaloppet, every year in February, which brings tourism to the area. It's also home to many lakes and rivers, and many choose to have their summer cabins in this beautiful scenic location. It is a great place to raise a family, and there are many community programs for people of all ages.
Mora is a small community, with more restaurants than places to have fun. Many of the younger adults and students are lively and friendly people, though as age goes up that seems to fall away.
