It is super safe and beautiful, with trees and parks everywhere you look. There is a creek running through, and our community college is amazing- it has a zoo and observatory! Besides that, it's not as exciting as a big city so you might run out of things to do to for fun.
Moorpark is a comfortable, safe, beautiful place to live. It is located in Ventura County, apparently the best-ranked places to live in the United States. Moorpark is a quiet, yet busy town. There are tennis courts, parks, shopping plazas, and homes affordable to middle-class and upper-class families. Arroyo Vista is the biggest park in Moorpark, holding recreational buildings, tennis courts, soccer fields, football fields, park equipment, bike paths, parking lots, and more. Moorpark has a historic downtown area called High Street, a sleepy place with lots of culture. There are many safe schools and hiking areas around, and despite it being so suburban, Moorpark is surrounded by all the big towns and cities like Thousand Oaks, Ventura, Ojai, and Hollywood. There are beaches and campsites and national parks short distances away. There's lots to do in and out of Moorpark!
The city of Moorpark is definitely for budding families. It’s quiet, safe and beautifully kept. Growing up here I always thought it was boring but being an adult and spending time here again, I’m very appreciative of the small town energy. I love to go on walks throughout the neighborhoods. There are many small parks and most every person you walk by will say hello, smile or wave. I have pleasant memories of the schools I went to as well. For entertainment or any night life you do have to venture to other cities, but those are close enough.
