Moorhead is a great, safe place to live. The parks here are very nice and the restaraunts are excellent. There are ample job opportunities and there is a diverse, thriving community. The majestic Red River and wealth of city parks provide a beautiful landscape in which to live. I feel safe living in my neighborhood and even walking most places alone at night. The colleges here, MSUM, MState, and Concordia, have provided me and my friends with excellent college educations. Moorhead has a world-class orchestra program for K-12 students and Moorhead High School also has great choir and band programs. The town prides itself in its athletics, and there are many spectator opportunities to be had in athletics, theatre, and the arts. The Rourke downtown is a lovely art museum, and we share a great partnership with out sister city of Fargo, ND. Public transportation is phenomenal and efficient, here.

My experience with Moorhead has been really good, I moved here in 2018 and I can only say good things about it, the housing is great, and there are plenty of fun things to do in Moorhead. The homecoming parades are always fun, and full of energy. The school spirit is really great. The jobs are full of opportunities, and there is a variety of choices for jobs. It is a really great college town, many colleges are located in Moorhead, including MSUM, Concordia, M State. There are plenty of coffee shops in the area to choose from. The parks are in great condition, and very safe. The summer programs that are available for students and adults as well.
I appreciate the benefits of living near a large town (Fargo) but still having that slightly smaller town feel. There are plenty of things to do and an extremely active community. The school system was about as good as I think public schools could get, as there's not much the city can do about highschoolers being mean highschoolers. The high school building itself will improve as it was just passed by the city to remodel it. I liked to complain about Moorhead growing up, but in reality, it is a great place to live. I would recommend new families, old families, and people looking for a good place to live to cosider Moorhead.
