Moorhead has a good small town feel, if that is what you're looking for. Most entertainment is just across the border in Fargo, ND. Moorhead Public Schools are growing very rapidly as well. However, that has caused water quality issues to occur multiple times in the past two school years. The Fargo/Moorhead area keeps expanding, especially North Moorhead and West Fargo. The Moorhead Center Mall isn't very busy in comparison to Fargo's West Acres Mall. If a few well-known stores were to be in the Moorhead Center Mall, it would most likely get more traffic in the mall, as Herberger's has been able to survive there.

Moorhead is a great place to live. Unfortunately, I just wish there was reciprocity when it comes to income tax. Moorhead has property specials like Fargo, but without the added benefit of the income tax - granted property taxes are "lower" than Fargo. It has disheartening to see so many businesses leave the Moorhead area, Sam's Club, Spicy Pie, Day's Inn, A tap room.
Moorhead is a fine city. It is very affordable and very job-rich. Houses and apartments are easy to come by. The interstate is nearby so commutes are easy. The community is mostly white with little diversity. It can be dangerous at night and shopping is sparse. Overall, it is an above average city to live in.
