Moon Township Reviews
Review Moon Township
Moon is great! No we don't live on the moon, you can't imagine how many times I've heard that "joke". It is close to the airport, major highway, tons of restaurants. It has everything you need and if it doesn't, Robinson is a 10 minute drive. It's a small town feel but it covers a big area. Neighborhoods feel like a small town but as a whole it's pretty big. I've just recently moved but I love that area and that it's close to Pittsburgh. Sounds silly but I wish there were more sidewalks in the area, that's about all I'd change.
I have lived in Moon Township my entire life. I went to high school there, and I work there now. I think Moon has done a fantastic job with it's education system, it's police force, and it's community involvement. I think the only thing that could be really approved on is the type of businesses it brings in. I think there is a demand for more leisure type activities in moon. Bringing in better restaurants, entertainment, gyms, and shopping could really improve the citizens involvement in the community. Currently, everyone goes to Robinson or to the north hills to do these things, and I think there are opportunities to add this to Moon.
There is a lot of money in the general area of Moon. The poorer areas are unfortunately dilapidated and run down; there is not much of a middle class present. Mooncrest, the area I reside is little more than a ghetto, but the surrounding area is fairly wealthy. There are many retail locations and fast food chains near the college campus which brings in a decent amount of jobs.
