We moved to this small outlying community 14 years ao from a more suburb environment. We have a friendly, professional and wonderful police department and an outstanding civic facilities such as the civic center and library. Personnel always friendly and helpful at these facilities. Shopping is great at our Publix and baby fast food facilities. Also locally owned restaurants like Carpenettis, Bluegrass BBQ and L&L Asian. Retail stores close by at Shoppes if River Grand, Bass Pro and soon to be Buckeyes. Ten minutes from the airport, and East acess to Atlanta via I 20

From kindergarten to my senior year I have gained many friends that I can call my family. Moody is more than a suburb outside of Birmingham it is a community and a family. Everyone knows everyone and supports each other. The citizens of Moody love to help one another and make sure their kids get the best experience they can possibly get. Many people look down on Moody because we are a small town, but we are growing and getting bigger and better than ever before. Moody High School is the number one school in St. Clair County school system.
I have lived here for 3 years and I am from Detroit, Mi. Very nice area, quiet, small and safe. It is starting to grow in population and the shopping districts is popping up all over the place. Centrally located too. You are not far from anything here. Taylors cove is up and coming and very nice affordable housing. churches are plenty in this area and many people who live in this area typically work downtown or further. There are a lot of animals present, and they are usually free to roam the neighborhood so be careful. but you will love it here!
