Monument is a great little town with very nice people all around. It is a beautiful place with plenty of opportunities. The schools are great academically and also very sports orientated. Monument is the perfect place to raise a family, live, and thrive. There are so many things to do, including hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and enjoying the outdoors. Make sure to bring a jacket because winters here can be quite chilly!
The town of Monument started off as a nice small town that was very friendly, but now it has started to get bigger and more packed without any new construction to help expand the roads and shopping districts. For some reason the city hall allows for many automobile places to be built, but no grocery or clothing stores. Overall the town is pretty friendly, except for an occasional neighbor being unfriendly and disrespectful. The public schools are fantastic, but I would be careful with the charter schools. Also, there are plenty of activities here such as the two lakes nearby that you can go kayaking in and the trails that are spread around everywhere.
Great little town with great events! Lots of mom and pop businesses that support the community. Also just overall, wonderful people who care about each other.
