I moved to Monticello Indiana at age 12. I still remember on the first day of Wood lawn elementary school. I sat next to this girl named Sadie and ever since that day we have been the best-est of friends. I like Monticello because most of my friends and family live there or live no more than 20 miles away. I enjoy Lake Freeman, Lake Shafer, and Indiana Beach during the summer. During the winter months Monticello is usually dead because out of townies don't come around till summer because of their lake homes. I love my home and family very much and consider living in Monticello my whole life depending on where my career takes me. I live on 5 acres of woods and have a nice home. I really enjoy being outside and taking walks with my loved one. Overall Monticello is the place for me at this time in life. Thank you for letting me apply for this Scholarship.

My husband and I have been living in Monticello for about 9 months now. We are originally from Canton, Ohio. I have to say it has been a drastic change for us. Being used to the city and coming to a small town like Monticello is something different. Although neither of us have family in Indiana, I find the town's quietness soothing. Everyone I have met here so far is really nice and welcoming. I actually have a couple friends here already!
Come join us in Monticello and have fun with your whole family at the amusement park, Indiana Beach or you can enjoy time with your family out on one of Monticello's beautiful lakes. Enjoy free concerts, festivals and more during the summer.
