Although no community is perfect Montgomery Village would be considered very good. This is because not only is it a relatively safe area it also has many different types of transportation available for drivers and pedestrians. The area itself also has many things nearby including schools, grocery stores, pharmacies, etc without being too clustered. However, an improvement for the area would be fixing what it it lacks which are entertainment/ gathering areas for the community.
Lived in the suburb for close to a decade, maybe longer. The quality of the schools nearby vary more than it should have; some schools that are nearby seem to have a bad reputation, such as Watkins Mill HS to the point where even some of the staff in the middle school I went to advised against going there. The high school I went to, while a little farther away than most of the other high schools nearby, was alright to say the least. As long as you don't act poorly, you should be fine. The cost to live at this place is higher than the national average, not exactly the best place for those who deal are dealing with low income. I've seen plenty of people who's social and ethnic background vary from one another. Not the best place, but fairly peaceful.
Very expensive place to live with lots of hidden "fees." Hidden fees are unexpected expenses like car repair work that has to be done 3X and you keep being charged. Lots of angry Bureaucrats live in the area smile to your face then dump a bucket of weed killer on a favorite pine tree. Lots of Private Citizen spies using there Fed Gov job to spy on neighbors and cause them trouble, probably because of the Satanic incorporation date June 6, 1966. Neighboring town of Rockville tends to attack MV Citizens in mean ways...like saying it's a Ghetto (it's not) to drive down property values...or having Rockville Cops drive through with sirens for no reason! It is a phenomenally short commute to nearby Tech industry companies & Medical industry companies. The public schools are better than rated! Diversity is Hollywood Actors living next door to Diplomats and minimum wage victims.
