Montecito Reviews

The neighborhood is beautiful and very clean with many townhomes, apartments, condos, and houses. There are many parks and in the center of elementary, middle, and high schools. However, the community is very close-knit and roads are very slim.
First, this article about living in Montecito: I've lived in Montecito since 1969. It is NOT a gated community! It is a more affluent area of Santa Barbara with NO gates to get in. Granted, there are many homes with gates at their driveways.
In 1969 this was absolute Paradise. Very sad to report that growth and traffic, and sometimes REALLY bad traffic, where one can be trapped with no escape, has become the new norm. Really sad, especially when home prices are out of reach for nearly all people except the very, very wealthy.

One of the most beautiful places in the world. It is sleepy yet minutes away from Santa Barbara. Mountain, ocean and great people. Housing is expensive but it is mostly due to its because desirability.
