Typical petty crimes (theft, kids skipping school, etc) happen on occasion, but nothing out of the ordinary. Traffic accidents occur, but not excessively and the police are visible often and keeping the streets safe. It is VERY RARE to hear of an actual scary crime (break in, murder, etc).

I enjoy my lifestyle and where I live. It's small, but big enough to feel like you can get away. It's far enough outside town to feel like you are in the country, but close enough to run to the store. Schools are great - children are learning well and are ahead of the national norm. I don't second guess too many people and have an overall sense of safety while in the community.
