The area is wide open and great for exploring and hiking. Lots of room to play outdoors. Fresh Air, no real busy streets so it is safe for kids. Some houses are fairly far apart so makes it hard to get to other houses without the use of a vehicle. It is a bit more expensive living, but you have plenty of room and are not crowded by neighbors. There is lots of open space allowing lots of privacy. During the winters snow can make it tough to travel and many houses so a vehicle with four wheel drive is a must. Great school systems. Good teachers and education. Prepares kids well for high school and future education. A great place to raise kids who like to explore and like the great outdoors. Just outside of Helena, the state capital. In a different county so taxes are a bit lower than they would be living within the city limits of Helena.

I love living here! I see antelope everyday and we live on 7 acres so have lots of open space. The mountains out our front window are awesome!
Montana City is a great little city. Located right next to the capital Helena Montana. Not a lot to do in Montana city as everything that is so close to Helena. It seems more of a nice neighborhood of Helena.
