Everything is within reach in Monrovia. Quiet neighborhoods. Great dining options. It is a family-friendly city that has prime accessibility to almost all types of retail. Close to the 210 and 605 freeways.
Small town All American City. Diverse community. Small town feel . Small businesses in Old Town. Fair every Friday night. Hiking trails in the Wilderness Preserves owned by the City of Monrovia. Walking & biking & dog friendly. Great schools & huge community involvement in all aspects of the city. Historical homes and buildings. Wildlife enjoys our mountains & sometimes our pools, backyards & fruit trees. We love our bears, mountain lions, foxes, peacocks, bob cats, raccoons, opossums and coyotes. Beautiful hike from our library fountain to the waterfall in our Canyon Park. Take the Metro Gold line to DTLA for live sports, concerts, theater or visit one of our beautiful museums.
Small suburb of Los Angeles, safe, family oriented, rent is reasonably priced, beautiful parks and walking trails.
I have lived in Monrovia for my whole life and I really live this town. The people here are very nice and the schools here for the most part are great. There are a lot of shops and places to go so you can't get bored easily.
Great city, quaint, helpful residents. City hall phone number always willing to answer questions. Thanks!
Cute town with a lovely town and shops and restaurants. The Monrovia library is very well done with the surrounding park and the mountains behind it.
Monrovia is cool. Its not boring but its not exciting either. Theres many places to eat around here. I would say it needs more parks or fun places to be.
I first moved to Monrovia a decade ago right after graduating college. I was captivated by its charm and small town feel in the midst of the bustle of Southern California. Different life opportunities took me away from Monrovia but I am so happy to be back living here once again as I work on my masters in Education. I look out the window of my bedroom and see the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains and am reminded daily of the beauty of Southern California. Once my schooling is complete, I’m hoping to find a teaching position here so I can make Monrovia my home.
Monrovia is a very cozy city with a lot of amazing people. Being in this city you will basically know everyone from either going to school with them, meeting them at the street fair, or simply on a hiking trail. This city is very welcoming and diverse there are a lot of minorities that are treated equally and are accepted. Being apart of Monrovia is like being on the show of Gilmore Girls, very loving and prideful.
WONDERFUL AREA FOR A FAMILY! There is many different places to go and very close. I love this area so much. It is very safe and so many wonderful people around this neighborhood. Everyone is always so welcoming and I never have any other issues.
Monrovia is a nice, safe, and diverse neighborhood. There is a good hiking place in the hill. Many shops and restaurants in the old town.
I would consider Monrovia as the hub of both diversity and pleasure in the San Gabriel Valley. You can find anything in Monrovia: plentiful restaurants, entertainment, parks, great schools, and a diverse citizenry that sets it apart from any other town. Business is here is vibrant and lively. Look no further than our downtown area in Old Town Monrovia to see our great sense of community and public engagement. Considered by the community to be the heart of Monrovia, Old Town is a unique downtown environment where you'll find a variety of boutique shops, exciting dining options, luxury living, and entertainment for the whole family. There's something for everyone. You can indulge in a wide selection of novels at the library, go bar hopping for happy hour, or spend the evening with your family exploring the night market. It's easy to see why so many come, and so few leave.
Monrovia is a beautiful small suburb in Los Angeles County. Many people who live in Monrovia have lived here since their childhood. The community is very supportive and gives off a family feel.
I loved growing up here this is such a great community it also very safe and the schools are pretty decent.
What I like about Monrovia is how close everything. You don't really need a car to get around. If you wanted to go out to eat you can easily walk down a block and go out to eat at a restaurant. Every Friday there is a street fair on Myrtle and a bunch if vendors are there. They have fresh fruits and vegetables, fun activities for children like rock climbing and jumpers with slides. You get to see a lot of community members and different businesses that are around Monrovia.
Family orientated neighborhood. Always have events that encourage participation to mingle and meet people in the community.
My friends live in Monrovia and have always enjoyed it. I like visiting them and the Monrovia street fair. Monrovia is a nice city.
