I love the city I've grown up in, specifically the small town of Unionville. If I could say anything about Unionville, I would say raise your kids here! The hospitality and small town feel, in my experience, while growing up is like no other. Unionville Elementary is also no doubt the best elementary school EVER! I loved my schooling experience and never would've wanted to live anywhere other than in Unionville. Monroe however, has seemed to deteriorate, and while I absolutely love the place I live, I think we need to come together and make our city a better place.

Monroe sits on the outside of the Charlotte metro area, it is a small family friendly town with a lot of growth potential for small family-based businesses.
Monroe offers great charter school options for families raising small children. There is a great hospital that offers high-quality care for children, adults, woman and cardiac services.
There are plenty of restaurants and parks to enjoy your weekends, and you are just a 45min ride to the Charlotte metro area.
I moved to Monroe when I was in the third grade with my family. Monroe is more of a country place and it was what my Mom was looking for to raise her four daughters and four step sons in, being a much slower pace. I married and raised three wonderful children in Monroe. I worked in the public schools for six years, poultry for six years, sewing industry three years and in the clerical field for five years. There are many good and affordable restaurants for families to eat in and beautiful parks for the children to play in.
