am a current high school and resident of Berkeley county. Moncks Corner is growing so fast it is hard to keep up, even for someone who lives here! While there is not much to do unless its summer (right on the lake) we are 20min from all the big cities and only 40min from Charleston. We are very centralized and growing very fast! Moncks Corner is also very family friendly, they are currently building a new rec fields for kids. The old train depot offers yoga and water painting classes as well. i work at O2 fitness and it is just great

Before you ask, no, there are no monks here. This small town is on the come up from its modest population of 9,000 people, and seems to be growing in the direction of becoming more like Summerville, SC (i.e. SUPER congested). We have Walmart, Chick-fil-a, and a Juice Bar; among other things, but these are where I spend most of my time... and money. Everyone knows everyone here, but if they don't, they sure will find out about you! (There's that southern charm for ya!)
