Small community of great people. There are lots of locally owned businesses such as hair salons, restaurants, coffee huts, boutiques, and specialty stores. The commnunity plays it big with the 4th of July parade and Rodeo, Halloween festivities, and an annual Share the Love community fundraiser for families or persons in need. It is settled up against the foothills with a wonderful river corridor full of Oregon's stunning beauty and hiking trails. There is a small train park that is open seasonally.
I made the mistake of buying a home here near section 8 housing. Biggest mistake of my life. There are people from this complex sitting on the curb all day long smoking one woman feels she doesn't even need to get property dressed. She is in her pink bathrobe. I'm embarrassed to have friends over. The city and the apartment administrators are ignoring this situation.
Quaint small town with lots of little shops of varying content. Many large farms surrounding the town. A few intersections and road corners could use some safety improvement, but overall not bad.
