Modesto Reviews

Modesto California is a very diverse city, with different adventures at every turn. I enjoyed Modesto's music programs, it has a really musical crowd, especially when it comes to theater. However, the crime rate there is much higher than the national average, and based on others experiences within the city I would not recommend living there. Downtown offers many different food and entertainment options, there's a park with an amphitheater! Gallo's business is built around Modesto, the family lives locally! Overall, I think Modesto is a fun weekend stop for a road trip, however I would not recommend living there.
I like the community in my hometown. It's not too large or too small. There are many opportunities here, you just have to find them. Currently, one of my favorite opportunities I partake in is the Leadership Academy with the Stanislaus County Office of Education. High school Juniors and Seniors can apply, and it has really broadened my knowledge of the career opportunities in my community. It's the only Leadership Academy of its kind in my area! Many people I know feel that Modesto is limited, but I don't think they've really taken the time to try and find out how much Modesto really has to offer. Overall, I've enjoyed living here.
I like Modesto and I have a special place in my heart for it, as it's where I spent my childhood and created many precious memories. Despite its reputation for being unsafe, I still believe that it is a relatively safe place to live. However, I do wish that the crime rates would decrease so that it wouldn't be seen as one of the cities with a high crime rates. As the largest city in Stanislaus County, It is sad to see the amount of homeless people, with a count of someplace around 1,642. While I would love to see a decline in this number, I understand that it may or may not be possible without some things done or changed.
