MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE IN MOBILE WAS BETTER IN THE PAST. IN THIS CURRENT DAY, I FEEL LIKE THERE IS NO CONTROL IN THE CITY. MOBILE PUBLIC SCHOOLS SYSTEM DOESN'T SEEM AS STRONG & FOCUSED ON OUR CHILDREN'S EDUCATION. SO,AS OF MY LATER YEARS, I FEEL MOBILE HAS OVERALL DECLINED AS FAR AS SAFETY, HOUSING, & EDUCATION. DON'T GET ME WRONG, THERE ARE A FEW POSITIVE PROJECTS GOING ON IN MOBILE. I STILL THINK THE ECONOMY NEEDS SOME WORKING ON. BASICALLY, I WAS BORN & RAISED IN MOBILE, AL. SO THIS CITY WILL ALWAYS BE SPECIAL TO ME REGARDLESS OF WHAT! MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE IN MOBILE HAS BEEN JUST PLAIN, OLD AVERAGE.

The city of Mobile, Alabama is one of the most historical and exciting cities in America. From the Battleship, to the multiple Forts, Mardi Gras, and Antebellum Museums, Mobile offers a well rounded view and history of the sweet south. This history rich city will never fail you. Our summers are filled with fairs, celebrations, seafood tastings, athletic runs, and community events!
I was born in Mobile but grew up in a small town outside of it. I eventually moved here for college and grew to enjoy the area. It's full of incredible food with a variety of choices. There's enough diversity in the community to excite anyone. Not only does the city have a beautiful location, with the beaches, the trees, and the flowers, Mobile includes historic sites and features for all to see. Of course it's not a perfect city. It has it's reputation for being "boring" along with the usual sketchy features but what city doesn't? If you're looking for a city full of fun, culture, food, and an incredible experience, Mobile is the city for you. Also, how can you turn down the birth place of Mardi Gras? It's a year round celebration here. We celebrate every New Years Eve watching our Moon Pie drop. You would definitely love this city.
