I was excited for something new and completely different, with all the lakes and so many trees I defintely found things to love about northern Michigan.

Of course there is Munson hospital nearby, so medical care is easy to access. Most younger to middle age people are healthy and have healthy weights, but it is a retirement town do many older people do not exercise as much as they should.
Elk rapids is a great little town in the summer. There is always something to do and if not, there is always a plethora of beaches to go to. However, the winter is super boring and one has to travel at least 20 minutes to do anything.
