I love Milton. It's a small town but has all the stores & restaurants you would need. It's about 20 minutes to the Gulf of Mexico & one of the best beaches ever. There are lots of little festivals & it's very family friendly. Being in the panhandle allows for much easier evacuation for hurricanes. Plus there is still a bit of a season change. The winters are mild, but having the season changes still makes me long for spring. The Blackwater River runs through town. It's a sandy bottom river & the fresh water is a nice break from the salty gulf.

The only real down falls are the infrastructure & nightlife. The town continues to grow, but there's not much room for more roads. It gets a bit crowded, but not unmanageable. There's not much of a nightlife at all. There are plenty of towns nearby with more of a nightlife but I'm not a fan of driving after a few drinks & cabs can be hard to come by.

Overall, it's a safe, beautiful, family friendly town.

It easy-going, Family oriented mostly military is growing fast there so it is making the economy strong. It clean religion orientated good place to send you kids to school they seem to be not behind on national average and opportunities are coming in everyday. Good fishing and water soorra on the river and close to the beach. They have wonderful.people very friendly and welcoming. I found that Milton is one of the best places to raise your family if you want them to learn strong values and good characteristics.
My husband and I started vacationing in Milton when we first met, mainly because his mother and step dad live in Milton. I immediately feel in love with the town. There are an abundance of antique shops, a beautiful veteran's memorial down by the Blackwater River, and it is only a 30-45 minute drive to Pensacola Beach or Navarre Beach. Our vacation ended and on our drive home to Indiana, we had only been together for about six months, we decided that we wanted to make Milton our new home. We sold our home in Indiana and moved to Milton. When we moved here we had no idea how big Milton actually was. This place is huge! There are so many places to shop, eat, and worship! The weather is incredible as well. There were only two or three days that it dropped below 40 degrees. The sun seems to be always shining and the people here are so friendly and welcoming.
