I have lived here for 15 years. The people are very divided based on wealth. Those with a lot of money believe they can do no wrong, including their children. The schools tend to favor the employees who do as they are told. Those who don’t get railroaded out. Small minded community. My family falls in the more wealthy category, but we live modestly and don’t exclude those based on money. Janesville is a much more diverse and inclusive community. Homes are much more expensive in Milton than neighboring communities. The crime rate is low, except for criminal damage to property and theft. There was a murder here recently on the west side of town. This town offers an immense amount of outdoor activities during the warmer months, but nothing during the cold months.

I became a part of the Milton, WI community my freshman year of high school when my family moved in with my grandmother to take care of her. Ever since I switched school districts and became fully embursed in the city of Milton, I have gotten a true taste of what a close community is like. Everyone in Milton is very friendly and seem to know each other pretty well. Everyone at the schools is very friendly and the teachers care about their students' education.
I attend the Milton School District. My elementary school, Consolidated, was voted number one in the state. I feel very lucky to attend a school district so dedicated to teaching us all we need to know for life.
