Milton Freewater, Oregon is a small agricultural town with a diverse population of foreign Hispanics and Americans. Reason being, the towns land is rich for farming, which provides cheap labor for those new to the country. I've lived all my life here, and even though there is not much to do, the community holds a strong bod during tough situations. When trouble comes heritages go unnoticed and we all stand as one to help those grieving or in danger. That is something I will forever appreciate from my small town.

I would like to see more things to do for kids and families in general. Clean up the parks we have such by covering up the graffiti and having survalliance cameras in order to prevent criminal activity and create a safe environment for children to play.
As a resident of milton freewater I believe that people within the community are nice and friendly. I enjoy living here due to the fact that it's a very calm area and it's a fairly small town. Gang related activity has dramatically decreased ever since I lived here. We have a lot of places to go and enjoy ourself such as the aquatic center, golf course, library, park and a track. I would like it if the community did more events such as the muddy frog water festival. Although my hometown is ranked #1 as the most miserable town in the state of Oregon I can assure it is not what it seems. You can't justify as a town being miserable by the marriage rates or if people own their house. Milton-Freewater could potentially improve their schools by passing a grant that can help build a new school. I have high hopes for my small town in the future.
