Working in Milan
I was a former resident of Milan. I lived there for 22 years, and I truly believe that it is a family friendly town. Milan is like most small towns, in that, everyone grew up together and went to the same schools. The schools are amazing with friendly teachers who truly care about the student and their needs. Th only thing that most would find a problem with is there aren't many options when it comes to restaurants or shopping malls. If you want to live in a town where you would like to raise a family then I truly suggest Milan Tennessee!
There's not much to do, but the price of living is fair and the weather is nice! I love the school system for my stepson.
I was born in Nashville, but my dad moved us to Milan,Tn in 1999. It was extremely different for a 9 year old little girl to get adjusted to being away from so much family and get used to a small town where she didn't know anyone. However,it was definitely an experience. The small town vibe that I got from Milan was unreal. So many kind people, but than again it is a close minded town. I wouldn't choose to have been raised in any other place. I made so many friends and I wouldn't trade it for anything. A few improvements that should be made is maybe a remodeling of their downtown. It's so rundown and bad looking. I know it has so much potential.
