Midwest City, Oklahoma is away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. It is home of one of the AFB. I've worked and lived in Mid Dub- locals like to call it, for over four years. My daughter attends Midwest city elementary, home of the Jets. What a great foundation for young students to be successful! There are local nice parks that all families enjoy even dog parks. Nice Variety for your shopping experience. On the down scale the only thing that comes to mind is how long it truly has taken them to do construction on some main streets that happen to be by most of the schools. It's taken over a year and all the residents that it affects including myself are ready for it to be over with. There really isn't a night life in Midwest City. But we are 10 minutes to down town where there is five star eaterys abd hotels. Nice variety of clubs for different vibes.also to catch a OKC Thunder game. Overall, Mid-Dub is a great place to raise your family and retire.

Midwest City is a very busy community, with a lot of opportunities for growth. It's growing everyday, with new business moving in. The Air Force base is here, so we can serve our military families. There are several churches that give back to the community. There is a great college in the area. The public school system is very good. The police take really good care of our community. The night life is great. Full of great restaurants and shopping.
Midwest City is not too bad of a place. I wish we had better public transportation systems though throughout the neighboring towns. Oklahoma City is very spread out. We did get new lime scooters and trolleys downtown, I hope one day we can get a subway or tram to reach the Midwest City, Yukon, Norman, and Edmond areas. Safety could be better, just lock your doors and don't have anything valuable laying around that someone would want to steal. Especially in your car.
