My experience with Midvale is pretty poor. There are homeless people and gangsters around every corner and the only places I feel comfortable is in my house and around the shopping centers. The community is very diverse wen it comes to race and people are pretty friendly its just hard to know who you can trust. Midvale is pretty close to State Street and State Street is known to be pretty ghetto in Utah. I know nobody that would want to walk around at night in Midvale by State Street, that's just asking for a problem. People get mugged, raped, robbed and threatened on State Street and its known for its drug abuse. Thankfully I live in a small community of condos and its all guarded with security cameras and everyone is super nice and trust worthy.

Midvale is a great community. About 20-25 minutes from Salt Lake City and 35 minutes from ski resorts. It is located in a great place, especially if you commute to work. Extremely close to the highway and easy to get anywhere you need. Some fun restaurants! This place is up and coming!
I have loved living in Midvale! The neighborhoods are friendly and inviting and safe! Close enough to downtown making an easy commute but far enough away to leave behinf all the "big city" drama. No matter what store you need, you're no further than 15 minutes away. Traffic can sometimes be awful- especially on Saturdays by Fashion Place mall off State St., but you learn to just avoid these types of area's.
